We’re excited to announce our next #boldspotlight featuring Ashley Bryant! Join us for a wonderful mid-week motivation as Ashley Bryant and Ashley Burney will share their stories of triumph. Both ladies have endured their fair share of obstacles but yet have conquered, using their stories to encourage their community.
Ashley Bryant, founder and head copywriter at Ashley Bryant Copy, is an eCommerce and DTC copywriter for 6 & 7-figure brands looking to ignite their sales and refresh their messaging through Web Copy, Emails and PPC Ads. Ashley, an alumna of UNLV, graduated with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Marketing. Her story, like so many others, isn’t so linear. Time wasn’t on her side as she graduated right before the peak of the 2008 housing crash. Her career dreams crushed with it.
Fast forward to 2014, while working at an energy company in Houston, TX, she saw her dream of working in marketing finally within her reach. As she was planning her career, it would seem that god/ the universe had other plans. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in early 2015, right before her 30th birthday. Overnight, she went from being on top of her game, excited for the future so close to her grasp, to feeling like the proverbial rug was pulled from under her. While learning to navigate her new diagnosis, she also had to re-learn to navigate the world around her. She went from the “one to watch” to the “one who can’t do much of anything.” While realizing firsthand that ableism is more than a word but an action that can change the reality of someone’s life based on their ignorance.
Leaning into her passion for writing and storytelling, Ashley began her writing career shortly after her diagnosis. Hosting two blogs centered on Multiple Sclerosis awareness. With her career dreams on the back burner yet again, and not seeing a way out of her current situation, she leaped when the opportunity to live abroad came her way.
On a trip home to Las Vegas to visit her family in early 2020, her world changed again. Ashley went from being a Kindergarten ESL teacher in China to pivoting and starting her copywriting business in 2021. Since then, Ashley has helped various brands increase sales and refresh their messaging worldwide.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow at 5pm pst LIVE on Instagram to hear from both Ashley Bryant and Ashley Burney as they share their journeys overcoming challenges!
