This Week!

We’re on a ROLL and we want you to join us for episode 3 of the #BOLDSPOTLIGHT series this Thursday, November 12th at 5pm PST. Ashley is going live with Nonprofit leader and Life Coach Brittany DuPree! Brittany holds two degrees from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), a Bachelor’s in Communications and Mass Media Studies and a graduate degree in Public Administration with a Non-Profit Management certification. Brittany has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade holding positions such as Resource Development Director for Communities in Schools of Nevada, Community Impact Director for Democracy Prep at The Agassi Campus, Associate Development Director for Olive Crest, Development Director for St. Jude’s Ranch for Children and currently the Director of Individual and Foundation Partnerships for Teach for America Las Vegas. With an extensive background in fundraising, Brittany has raised millions of dollars within her career.

A proud 2016 alumni of “Leadership Las Vegas”, Brittany also serves as a Graduate Professor for UNLV, empowering future nonprofit leaders and serves on the Board of Directors for Golden Rainbow and Leaders in Training. Recently Brittany was named 2020 Vegas Inc Top 40 under 40. She is a wife, mom to three thriving children, enjoys working out, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Ashley! She’s the Founder and President of Heart To Heart LLC. This week on Friday, is a special day as she’s celebrating her 3 year double brain surgery anniversary. Having overcome 2 brain surgeries, she’s going to talk about her journey. Ashley was diagnosed with Type 1 Chiari Malformation in July 2017. Little did she know her life would be changed forever (in a good way)! This week we’ll share information on this neurological condition to spread awareness. A packed house full of like minded women and men converged on Bottega Exchange for an afternoon full of networking and raffle prizes to go along with brunch and bottomless mimosas. Most importantly our bold and beautiful guest speakers set the tone for us to draft vision boards and BOSS Up 2020 together! Jada, Jill, and Crystal are truly inspirational women that left an impression on the room that we hope everyone still carries with them given the current events around the world thus far this year. We must take ownership of our lives in 2020 and start living our truths.

Welcome Jada Willis to 20/20 BOSSUP!

Educator, confidence coach, fashion stylist…all of these titles have been used to describe Jada Willis. A Las Vegas native, she found her way into the Hospitality & Gaming industry in 2007 after earning her MBA from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. As an operations analyst for two large luxury resorts, Jada was responsible for developing the financial literacy of mid-level managers.

Jada’s passion to teach goes beyond the numbers. With a heart for women and a desire to “play in people’s closets for a living”, Jada started Tailor St. Claire Style- a full service personal styling company guiding women into dressing like superheroes they are. Through St. Claire Style, Jada has found herself coaching others not only on how to master their wardrobe, but re-igniting confidence in their understanding the importance of one’s uniqueness. Jada has encouraged rooms filled with women looking to get back into the workforce to those of formerly incarcerated men ready to re-enter society.

When Jada isn’t busy chasing a set of twin boys, she is enjoying (and singing obnoxiously to) good music with her husband; escaping to the beach; and trying desperately to catch up on her Netflix series favorites. Welcome Crystal Blackwell to 20/20 BOSSUP!

Crystal Blackwell is a Las Vegas native and mother of two who has a heart and passion for people but the lives of women is what tugs at her the most. She loves and appreciates the beauty of women and all that they entail; their determination, triumphant spirit, boldness and sassy attitudes.

She is on a journey to fulfill her purpose in life and help as many women as possible along the way reach all of their goals. Crystal is the founder of Crystal Clear Conversations, an open conversation forum that is a safe space for women to truly express themselves without judgement and be “Crystal Clear” about who they are. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at Grand Canyon University, to become a licensed therapist (Behavioral Health Science with an emphasis in Trauma).  She also operates her own businesses, Crystal Clear Travel and Crystal Clear Sweet Treats specializing in caramel cakes, banana pudding, and other desserts.   We are so excited Crystal will be speaking at the 20/20 BOSSUP event on February 23rd. Introducing Mrs. Tina Thomas-YBIB Events Committee Member

Tina Thomas is a 27 year local resident, mother of four and has been married to her BFF/UNLV Alum for 17 years!  With a lifelong background in hospitality, she has successfully worked as a Flagship Retail Manager for many luxury brands for the past 15 years.  She strongly believes in organic customer service and managing people with purpose.  As a career woman, with a family, she experienced difficulty finding a balance.  So she found it necessary to tap into something that keeps her cup full!  She began crafting as means of an outlet in January 2019 and it has turned into a major part of her life.  "Creativity is just intelligence having fun" she says!  Tina has found a way to personalize a connection between people, mostly women, through thought and illustration, bringing imagination to life. It’s so much fun! Tina understands the value of women and the importance of their contribution to the community & future.  She believes that we are not just women; we are everything great about this world, we are powerful, we are intentional, we are fire, we are water, the calm in the storm and the storm all at once.  Women are everything.
